Many of my paintings are inspired by photographs that I take of interesting scenes. This was taken on the school River Trail of the CIRA and 30th St. Station, looking north.  I’m a lover of architecture, and this scene was amazing, the blending of the old with the new, and all the great geometric shapes created by these wonderful buildings. I wanted to paint it in a surrealistic style, just concentrating on the geometry and the colors. I also love painting skies, and I wanted to have a dramatic sunset.
